It feels like Brady applied years ago, but we are finally happy to officially report that The Landing School emailed Brady yesterday to let him know that HE WAS ACCEPTED into the marine systems program! They thankfully emailed him his initial acceptance, and stating that the official letter in the mail. They did this as stated in their email "we know you are anxious to hear from us regarding your application". Brady may or may not have been calling the school every few weeks to check in on his application at my request, which is why we laughed at the stated sentence in his email.
What they didn't understand was that a lot of things were riding on this letter, first and foremost being my job. We didn't want me to give my notice until we had a concrete answer so we could finalize our plan of us actually quitting our jobs and leaving our lives to head out to Maine. So, finally, tomorrow I will be able to let my job know our good news! (This will be very hard for me to do since I love my job and the people I work for. They are not just co-workers but close friends that we get to hang out and do a job that we all love, even when it sucks, and that happens frequently.)
We are beyond thrilled and this is the decision we were waiting for to 'officially' move forward with everything. Let the countdown officially begin because we will be shoving off and officially beginning our sailing journey to Maine on Monday, June 13th (weather permitting, of course).
