Boat Show Injury

We were a sight to see at this year's Strictly Sail Chicago Boat Show. Somehow we talked Gramps into joining us and between him and me and my broken leg, we were the blind leading the blind! Or at least that how I thought we looked. The first day, Friday, of the show, I tried to tough it out and walk with my crutches to get from session to session. However, it was way too much walking and I was exhausted by the end of the few hours we were there. For Saturday Brady decided to get a wheelchair for me so we could not only attend the sessions but also stroll through the exhibit hall. So picture us, me with my broken leg being pushed by Brady's 83 year old Gramps and Brady carrying everything. Thankfully we made it though the weekend without any further injury and with some great information that we are excited to test out on Further when the 2014 sailing season begins in only 4 short months!

A couple weeks earlier I slipped on some ice and broke my ankle when Brady and I were walking home from our second Ballroom to Barroom dance class at the Old Town School of Folk. Great Timing!
